Can I choose which day and time you clean my home?
We offer a flexible schedule to meet our clients’ needs from Monday – Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Some days and times are more popular than others, but we will make every effort to schedule your cleaning at your preferred time. Please tell us one or two days you prefer, and whether you prefer a morning or an afternoon appointment, and we will do our very best to accommodate your schedule.
We clean homes to our PRISTINE standard and each is home is unique. Also, the traffic in the greater Charleston area is difficult to predict. Therefore, we are unable to give you a specific time for your cleaning appointment. We will give you an approximate time so you know when to expect us.
Do I need to do anything on the day of my cleaning appointment?
Before we arrive to clean, we appreciate if you can make sure the floors, dressers, and counters are cleared. This allows our cleaning staff to clean more efficiently, saving you money. If you are having a busy week, we are happy to help by organizing, yet this will increase the cost of your cleaning visit.
We also ask that you set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature so our Pristine Cleaners can maximize their efficiency (70 – 72 degrees is preferred as cleaning requires a lot of physical effort). As our cleaning agreement states, we reserve the right to cancel our cleaning if your air conditioning is not working or is not set to an appropriate temperature.
If for some reason you do not want a particular room cleaned, or if you want us to avoid a particular area of your home, please leave a note, call, email, or text message us so we can inform your cleaning team.
Will I need to provide any cleaning supplies or equipment for the cleaning team?
No. We will bring everything we need to make your home PRISTINE clean. If you are concerned about which products we will use, please visit our GREEN CLEANING page for more information. We have gone to great lengths to research effective products that are safe for the environment, your health, and the materials and surfaces in your home. Therefore, if you request us to use a particular product we require you to: (1) sign a waiver indicating that we are not liable for any damage caused by the product; (2) provide the product, and replenish it as necessary.
Do I need to be home during my cleaning appointment?
No. Most of our clients are at work when we clean their homes; others prefer to run errands. Of course, we are happy to clean while you are at home if this is your preference.
How will you gain access to my home if I am not at home?
Most of our clients provide us with a key. Your key will be kept in a secure location, and it will not have your name or address on it. If you choose not to leave us a key, you can either give us the code to the garage door or hide a key for us. Keep in mind, if you choose not to give us a key and we are not able to access your home for your given appointment, you will be charged a $50 lock out fee, because we still have to pay our Pristine Cleaners for driving to your home.
Will I need to sign a contract?
No. You are welcome to cancel your services for any reason at any time. We also reserve the right to cancel your services. We will ask you to sign a Service Agreement which lists our cleaning policies and service guarantees. This helps us to ensure a mutually beneficial partnership with each of our clients.
What if something is damaged during my cleaning appointment?
Due to our PRISTINE cleaning, our staff will touch nearly everything in your home. We are as careful as possible; however, accidents happen from time-to-time. If something does get damaged while cleaning your home, the cleaning team will leave you a note if you are not home or inform you if you are home. The owners of the company will also follow up with an email or phone call to determine the best course of action to take.
We do our best to repair or replace anything that is damaged during your cleaning. However, we know some things are irreplaceable. Therefore, the safest course of action is to store away any precious or sentimental items on your cleaning day, or instruct us not to clean such items.
Pristine Reflections is not responsible for damage due to faulty or improper installation of items. Please inform us immediately if any items in your home are loose or damaged so we can make sure to stay clear from them. Examples would include the following: broken or improperly installed blinds, tiles, curtain rods, loose carpet, etc.
Will the same team clean my home for each appointment?
We make every effort to send the same team to your home for every cleaning. However, sickness and vacations occasionally make it necessary for us to send someone else. If one member of your team is still available, we will send them with a substitute Pristine Cleaner. Whenever our schedule allows, we will send one of the owners of the company as a substitute. We pride ourselves on sending you the same team to clean your home each visit. But rest assured, that each of our employees undergo extensive training before they are sent to your home. Furthermore, the owners of the company clean with each of our employees on a regular basis to make sure we maintain our PRISTINE standard of cleaning.
What if I have pets?
All of us at Pristine Reflections—owners and team members—love animals. The majority of our clients have pets. We are happy to clean with your pets at home. However if you have aggressive animals, we ask that you secure your pet while we are cleaning. We are happy to clean around friendly pets. Please keep in mind, that we do not clean up animal waste.
How often should I have my home cleaned?
Most of our clients prefer to have their home cleaned every two weeks. By the end of the second week, most homes are ready for our PRISTINE cleaning. With this bi-weekly cleaning, we are able to keep your home up to our PRISTINE standard of cleanliness.
For our clients that hate dust and love sparkling restrooms, weekly cleaning will leave your home looking new all the time. While this is more expensive, our weekly clients always agree that it is money well spent!
In order to meet your budget, we are happy to offer monthly cleaning. While monthly cleaning will not keep your home PRISTINE all month long, it will allow your home to be thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis. And of course, we are happy to offer thorough cleanings on a quarterly or as-needed basis.
Keep in mind, that we give scheduling preference to our weekly and biweekly clients. If you choose monthly or quarterly cleaning, we will do our best to schedule you for a convenient day and time.
How much does it cost to have my home professionally cleaned?
We have found that charging our clients an hourly rate is a mutually beneficial way to price our services. The hourly rate offers several advantages: (1) our clients are free to choose the level of detailed cleaning they want, adjusting the amount of cleaning time they purchase as needed; (2) our clients save money when their homes require less cleaning; (3) our clients can add occasional cleaning tasks as needed without having to negotiate the price. And of course, we are compensated fairly for all of the time we spend with our detailed cleaning.
Our standard rate is $40 per labor hour (that is, $40 per hour, per cleaner) for weekly or biweekly cleanings. We do charge more for certain tasks (e.g. laundry, dishes, etc.) or for homes that are excessively dirty. In order to meet a budget, we allow our clients to choose a set number of hours for us to clean according to a priority list. While a lower number of hours will not allow us to clean your entire home top-to-bottom, it does allow us to maintain the more demanding areas of your home (for example, kitchen and restrooms).
Please keep in mind, your initial cleaning will take much longer than future visits on a biweekly basis. Typically, the initial cleaning takes twice as we take the time during our initial cleaning to scrub everything—ceiling fans, vents, baseboards, blinds, trim faucets, fixtures and more! The best way to keep up this PRISTINE cleaning is with maintenance cleaning, either weekly or every two weeks.
Do you need to see my home to give me an estimate before I hire you?
Scheduling a FREE estimate is the best way to start a lasting partnership. This allows you the opportunity to meet the owners of the company, and it helps us determine how much time it will take to clean your home. You will have the opportunity to view our licensing and insurance information, see our cleaning products, and ask us any questions that you may have.
We do offer our services for purchase on Angie’s List without first seeing your home. If you do not have time to schedule an estimate, we are happy to schedule an appointment without first seeing your home. However, we do not cut any corners to try and clean an entire home in a certain number of hours. If you are looking for a company to clean your home cheap and fast, it would be best to contact another company. What if I am not satisfied with my cleaning?
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee with each cleaning we perform. If you are present during your cleaning, we will walk you through each room we cleaned for you to inspect our work. If you are not present when we clean and you find anything that needs attention, please contact us within 24 hours so we can correct the problem.
